Powerselect alternator subaru mod#
This configuration will allow the Fuse to still work will allow the ALT to keep your Battery charged 13.2-Volts FULL-TIME and will allow you to revert back to Factory FUSE-ONLY by just pulling the Assemble, removing your Fuse from it, and re-inserting the Fuse directly into the Fuse-Position! This MOD changes the "set" minimum-allowed-voltage to 13.2, instead of 11.7-V, by dropping the SENSED Voltage by 2x0.75-Volts = 1.5-Volts, giving the Alternator Regulator permission to over-ride the stupid battery-killing ECM Do-Not-Charge Signal !!!!!! they just all need to be in SERIES, with the Current going to the ALT Terminal Plug/Conn.
It does NOT matter in which order you wire the Fuse and Diodes : F-D-D D-F-D D-D-F all work properly. 1-Amp/25PIV Silicone Diodes you will need to Re-Assemble the Add-A-Fuse as bought so it can be used to BOTH hold your 7.5-Amp-Fuse, and insert in-series with the Fuse both diodes (also in series with each other: make sure that you POINT the Diode Polarity Mark toward the ALT. Circuit to dummy DOWN the Voltage that the ALT thinks is from the Battery Circuit when it sees a lower-that-allowed-voltage (< 12.0-V), it then overrides the Computer Commands to take a vacation, which is the same as Leave-The-Battery-UnderCharged !!!! Go to AutoZone and pick up a Fuse Device called ADD-A-FUSE (matched to your Fuse Type) go to Radio-Shack/EBay and purchase (2) Two ea.
